Compliance Glossary for Confluence

How do I verify an archive?

Not fully from the workspace today. Export archive keeps the archive in app storage and offers no download. Import archive sends a JSON package you hold to a validation service. The service checks hashes, order, counts, and tenant. The workspace shows the failing error codes, or the record count with confirmed parity. Use Run verification to check the current freeze.

How it works

  1. Open Terminology Baseline and find Enterprise evidence workspace.
  2. Under Verification and portable evidence, select Run verification.
  3. Keep the summary line as the integrity result for the current freeze.
  4. For a JSON archive you hold, choose it under Archive package and select Import archive.
  5. Read the result. Only Archive verified: with confirmed parity means the package passed.
  6. For hand-over files, use Download glossary slice, Download reissue handoff, or Download trace chain.

Example

An auditor asks for an archive and proof that it is intact. The administrator selects Export archive, but no file downloads. They select Run verification and record "Verification conformant: 44 of 44 stored evidence objects match." That proves the stored freeze objects, not a portable archive.

What this does not mean

The workspace shows the archive validation result for a package you hold. An exported archive cannot leave app storage through the workspace. Archive validation does not certify compliance, prove source correctness, create legal WORM storage, or approve a release.

Next step

Record the Run verification summary before audit handoff, and plan archive hand-over outside the app until download exists.
